Shrimp Tsunami

We LOVE the shrimp tsunami dinner. Great seafood. Great prices. Great service. We drive from Erie and the trip is worth every mile!

Captain's Platter

My husband ordered this and said that the portions were more than adequate, the shrimp were plump and juicy, not over cooked. He enjoyed the variety of seafood with the meal. Would definitely order again.

Shrimp Tsunami

We came for my birthday dinner. This was our first trip to Hil-Mak. We tried a year ago but we couldn't get in due to staffing issues. This year we made a reservation! Food and service (Sally) were very good! I had originally wanted the Shrimp and scallops but they were out of scallops. I had my tastebuds set on that as I love scallops but the Shrimp Tsunami was great! The portion of shrimp was more than enough. I did eat it all as I just did salad and broccoli with my meal. Everything was cooked perfectly. Would definitely order again!

Atlantic Scallops

The scallops were fresh and delicious and the portions were generous. Hil-Maks is our favorite place to eat seafood

Lake Erie Perch

Delicious! We've come here every tkme we visit Ashtabula, 40 years now. The only dinner I have ever had here is the Lake Erie perch. Their homemade coleslaw is perfect and the fresh from the oven rolls are to die for!

Smoked Salmon

My husband and I ordered the smoked salmon appetizer. He was unsure of capers but tried it anyway. Oh my! It was wonderful!! The onion and capers with the cream cheese and cracker were sooo good! He now knows what capers are and would definitely order this again.

Large Seafood Platter

The food was amazing. Cooked wonderfully, great portion. Decor was lovely. I really loved the revamp of the place. It was a great dining experience.

Maryland Crabmeat Au Gratin

My grandma loved Hil-Mak's, it has been years since I have been there, only because it reminded me of her so much. When I went with my grandma the food was always delicious and staff was so nice. I can attest that after all these years, even after Covid, the food is still delicious. I had the Maryland Crabmeat Au Gratin, creamy, warm and just yummy. It's the kind of dish that speaks for itself, not to mention I don't know any other restaurant that has this dish on the menu. We also had Baked Stuffed Shrimp and the Bisque, both of which were tasty. All the food was prepared well and seasoning was spot on. So looking forward to going again!!!

We enjoyed our dinners. I had the jumbo stuffed shrimp, it was very good with rice.
