Had an exquisite first visit here!! Extremely impressed. Had a friend drive an hour so we could try them out. The staff was amazing! Very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was beyond our expectations, freshest seafood I've had in a very long time…

This was our first time eating here. The food was wonderful! I had the Baltimore crab cakes and they were delicious. Others had shrimp scampi, the fish fry, a chicken breast sandwich, and a sampler platter. The clam strips on the sampler were so tender. Everything was simply delicious. We'll be back for sure!

When in Ashtabula, eat here! It's a small town restaurant, homey and not fancy. The dining area is not very big, but every table was occupied...always a good sign. The service was great. The food was amazing! I had the salmon and my husband had the haddock topped with lobster bisque. We also had a cup of soup each...clam chowder, and a fish chowder. We loved it all! We will definitely eat at Hil-Mak again.
